Head of Tax

We are looking for a Head of Tax to join the Finance & Administration Department. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the entire tax area in Nordic Solar, ensuring the correct strategies, structure, and improvements at both the group and local levels. Nordic Solar has experienced impressive progressive growth. Therefore, the Finance & Administration Department needs to expand the team with an experienced and highly skilled Head of Tax. The position will be full-time at our office in Hellerup, Denmark. As the Head of Tax, you will report directly to Nordic Solar’s CFO, Jes Vengaard.

As the Head of Tax at Nordic Solar, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to optimize group tax and local tax structures.
  • Managing joint taxation initiatives to maximize efficiency and minimize tax liabilities.
  • Ensuring tax compliance across all jurisdictions in which Nordic Solar operates.
  • Overseeing tax reporting processes and ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Collaborating with the Corporate Finance & Development team on tax matters related to acquisitions.
  • Providing expertise on tax implications of financing activities.
  • Acting as a reliable sparring partner for local finance administrators in the 12 countries where Nordic Solar is present.
  • Offering guidance and assistance on tax-related matters during the establishment of new local companies in Europe.
  • Engaging in theoretical discussions and providing strategic insights regarding the tax area.

Working with these areas of responsibility, you will run and manage the tax team and ensure the highest standards of work in group tax, transfer pricing, and local taxation in the 12 countries where Nordic Solar currently operates. The Head of Tax position requires a desire to work at both operational, tactical, and strategic levels.

Experienced and highly skilled senior tax candidate with a passion for international tax and transfer pricing
Taking on the role as Head of Tax, you are expected to hold a cand.merc.aud., cand.merc.jur., or studied a master in tax. Further, you should represent at least five years of experience, where you have been working with corporate tax, Danish tax law, and transfer pricing. Transactional tax and/or international tax would be an advantage.

You can either come from a senior position in the audit industry, where you been working in the tax department or from an internal position as Head of Tax or similar. As the position entails management responsibility, this is appreciated as an advantage, but not a prerequisite.
