Nordic Solar sells solar park in Portugal to EOS group

Nordic Solar has completed its second divestment of one of the company’s portfolios, the Trofa solar park in Portugal, located in Vilares, northeast of Porto. Covering approx. 11 hectares and offering a capacity of 2.3 MWp, the solar park has, as Nordic Solar’s eighth investment project, been part of the company’s total portfolio since 2016. The buyer is the Swiss energy group EOS Holding, which has focused on renewable energy since 2010 and already has three solar energy plants in Portugal.

Having now completed its second asset divestment, Nordic Solar is very pleased with the deal, which was closed quickly and supports the company’s strategy of investing in large-scale projects.

Today, Nordic Solar focuses on investing in large-scale projects, where we are responsible for the design and construction processes, and we are therefore very pleased to have completed yet another divestment that sharpens this focus and supports the strategy of recirculating our capital in large-scale parks. Nordic Solar still has two solar parks in Portugal and projects in 12 European countries. Nordic Solar plans to divest more assets in 2024, and, with the development of the company’s project portfolio and construction projects in progress, the company expects to double its production capacity during 2024.
