PPA Manager

About the Position

We are looking for a PPA Manager to be a driving force in the green transition, responsible for securing long term PPAs for the increasing portfolio of solar assets in Europe. With significant growth plans, you’ll thrive in a maturing renewable energy business with ample room to shape your own development.

As the PPA Manager at Nordic Solar, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Finance & Development team. Your primary focus is to participate in initiating, negotiating, structuring Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and keeping an overview of Nordic Solar’s engagement in PPA. This role offers a unique chance to provide valuable advice, leaving your mark on the continuous growth and project development in Nordic Solar.

Your Key Responsibilites

  • Originating and analyzing potential PPA opportunities for solar projects.
  • Participating in structuring, negotiating, and execute PPA contracts with counterparts.
  • Maintain contact to PPA advisors and legal advisors during transactions.
  • Build up and maintain relationships with potential off-takers to ensure insights in the PPA markets across Europe.
  • Stay on top of energy market developments that can be used in market analyses.
  • Contribute to the overall PPA strategy of Nordic Solar.
  • Keeping and maintaining an overview of PPA needs and ongoing negotiations
  • Participate in discussions with senior lenders with respect to senior debt financing.
  • Various ad-hoc tasks.

You will report directly to the director of PPA and Trading, Claus Hartmann. The role is based in the office in Hellerup (Copenhagen).

What We Are Looking For

Taking on the role as PPA Manager, you are expected to possess a relevant master’s degree representing a high academic standard. In addition, you bring a minimum of two years of experience from the energy sector with great knowledge of energy market fundamentals, the power- and PPA market, where you have been working with corporate and utility PPAs. Additionally, you possess a strong numerical aptitude, including proficiency in Excel, and preferably Excel VBA. You communicate professionally in written and spoken English and have a strong commercial understanding of business operations as well as proven contractual skills.
